Julie Pappas (Smith) performed all over the United States and Europe with the Broadway touring companies of A CHORUS LINE, BEAUTY & THE BEAST and SHOWBOAT working under the direction of Hal Prince, Susan Stroman , Baayork Lee and Rob Roth. She had the opportunity to understudy and perform exciting roles along with the challenge of being a swing performer, learning up to 12 roles at time. Off Broadway credits: KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN (Spiderwoman/Arora). Regional credits include: CATS (Grizabella), 42ND STREET (Dorothy Brock), SOUTH PACIFIC (Nellie Forbush), A CHORUS LINE (Cassie and Diana) her most favorite role Anita in WESTSIDE STORY.

TV and film credits: MRS. SANTA CLAUS starring Angela Lansbury and choreographed by Rob Marshall, CARLITO’s WAY, E Entertainment and THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW. Julie experienced the wonderful world of Disney World Orlando and Tokyo Disneyland as both a dancer and a vocalist in a variety of shows on property, television and promotional videos. Her skills began at a very early age working to develop technique and skills that gave her the ability to achieve a fruitful and joyous career in the theatre.

As a trained vocalist, Ms. Pappas has recorded a few regional commercials and performed on NCL, Carnival Cruise Lines and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Julie is a member of Actors Equity and is certified in Zena Rommett’s Floor Barre Technique, Pilates, Zumba Basic 1 & 2 and Gold for seniors. Ms. Pappas Smith enjoys teaching dance to students of all ages! She holds a BFA from The Boston Conservatory of Music and has directed and choreographed for childrens theatre and schools in South Miami and New Hampshire!
