
Mariana Oliveria is originally from Brazil, and a graduate of the Royal Ballet School of London, UK, and also the National Ballet of Cuba where she recieved the "High Score Dancer Award". She has been an apprentice dancer at Diversions Modern Dance Company of Wales (2004), New York Theater Ballet (2007) and also Ajkun Ballet (2007). She has performed with Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, Sao Paulo Dance Company, and participated in many dance festivals such as the Rio de Janeiro Intermational Festival (1st Place), Brasilia International Festival, and Joinville Dance Festival (Brazil).
In 2009 she founded THE UNION PROJECT, a contemporary dance company based in NYC, with performances at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, Lincoln Center, and the Avant Garde Festival, as well as Art Gallery 6 in Richmond, VA.
Since 2007 she has been a full-time ballet and contemporary/modern dance instructor at Dancin' Feet Studio(NYC) where she has taught and choreographed for students between the ages of 7-18.
She collaborated as a dancer in Performance Lab with Phillip Gardner (Steps on Broadway Ensemble), and she has taken classes and workshops at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center with Aszure Barton, Alessandra Beller, Gallim Dance, LeeSaar Dance, Stephen Petronio, Elisa Monte, Brice Mousset, Katiti King, Kota Yamazak, Donald Byrd, Jacqulyn Buglisi, Heidi Latsky, Jason Winters, and Kevin Wynn.
