Classes We Offer
Our Recreational Dance Program offers a variety of classes, allowing dancers to explore different styles while developing a well-rounded dance education.
🩰 Ballet
Ballet is the foundation of all dance styles. Students develop proper technique, posture, balance, flexibility, strength, musicality, and grace while building the technical skills that support success in every other form of dance.
👞 Tap
Tap introduces dancers to rhythm, timing, coordination, and musicality through exciting footwork and creative combinations. Students develop precision, listening skills, and confidence while making music with their feet.
✨ Jazz
Jazz is an energetic and expressive dance style that emphasizes flexibility, technique, strength, and performance quality. Dancers build confidence while learning exciting choreography in a fun and upbeat atmosphere.
🎤 Hip Hop
Hip Hop is a high-energy class that encourages creativity, musicality, confidence, and personal style. Dancers learn age-appropriate choreography while improving coordination, rhythm, and overall athleticism.
🤸 Acro + Strength + Tricks
This exciting class combines acrobatic skills with strength and conditioning exercises to help dancers safely develop flexibility, balance, body control, and confidence. Students work on foundational acro skills, progressions, and tricks while building the strength necessary to perform them safely.
🌊 Contemporary
Contemporary dance blends technique with creativity and emotional expression. Students explore movement quality, musicality, storytelling, and artistry while continuing to build strength, flexibility, and versatility.
🚀 Turns & Jumps
Designed to improve technical skills, this class focuses on proper turning technique, leaps, jumps, balance, control, and overall execution. It is an excellent supplement to all dance styles and helps dancers become stronger, more confident performers.
🌈 Flexibility
Flexibility classes safely improve range of motion, mobility, body alignment, and muscle control while helping dancers increase their flexibility and reduce the risk of injury. Stretching and conditioning exercises are incorporated to support success in every dance discipline.
Performance Opportunities
One of the most exciting parts of the season is performing on stage! Recreational dancers have the opportunity to participate in our spectacular Annual Recital, where they proudly showcase everything they've learned throughout the year in a professional theater setting.
Performing helps dancers build confidence, responsibility, teamwork, stage presence, and memories that will last a lifetime.
